The pest control department of newly formed Cheshire East Council win the prestigious ASPIRE award, despite difficult circumstance...
Case Studies
Andy Reeves is one of 4 pest controllers whom are employed by the newly formed Cheshire East Council. They were previously employed under the old borough of Macclesfield and two of the team were drafted in when the old Congleton regime had finished.
Despite the ever more grim news about cuts to public services and spending (he offers a 100% residential free rat, roach, bedbug treatment so seldom bring any money in except in wasp season) he and his colleagues have very recently won the coveted ASPIRE awards.

These are awarded to either individuals or teams whom, in the eyes of the judges, have gone beyond the normal call of duty to ensure that a quality service is delivered despite the air of uncertainty which hangs over a lot of people's heads and of course, for them, dealing with wasps, ants, rats etc. in an enormous borough.
For four of Andy's team (Andy himself had a family bereavement so was off work dealing with that in August which effectively left 3 pest controllers for 10 days) to do what they did was a superb team effort and testament to their commitment to deliver a first class pest control service.
Pest control is seldom in the public news for good reasons but this article proves that there are pest controllers whom work for government who approach their jobs with a sense of pride and an understanding that quality counts.
