Appearance
- Adult — 3 - 4.5mm in length. Ovoid abdomen with a pinched waist. Whole body covered in golden-yellow hairs.
- Larva — similar to Australian spider beetle.
Lifecycle
- 16 - 7 months at 20°C. Adults can live up to 9 months.
Habits
- Sometimes linked to the damage of textiles in the domestic home.
- Adults appear in greater numbers in June/July and October/November.
